Hello everyone! πŸ‘‹

Prospect buyer here of a Ford Puma (hopefully ST Line X, 125 or 155HP). 😊

I’ve been trying to google this for a while, and look into this forum as well, but no luck so far.

Recently, I watched a review video (can’t recall which one right bow) where the reviewer said that at the dealership, when buying a Puma, you can get a USB port fitted on the rear of the center console. I assume in that little hole just behind the armrest. Is that an option anyone is aware or of, or that they got fitted?

To be honest, it’s likely that this is not true after all (gotta love the internet!). So I guess my second question is whether you think a USB port can be fitted DIY/aftermarket instead. Did anyone look into this already?

I guess it’s also annoying to think there is a random empty pocket of space that’s not been used by anything, apart from potentially helping passengers forget little objects in there. 🀷

Thank you so much already!

There is a port inside the arm rest so it would not take much to add your own.

Not heard about any option to have extra USB ports fitted....As stated, you can run longer leads to the one inside the arm rest for rear passengers.

Use the 12v socket in the boot and long cables to back seat?

Yeah thought of that too recently! Maybe I can also route the cables decently to avoid having them flailing all over the place. πŸ‘€

That's what I plan to do, should be fairly simple to do so.
3m cable for the left passenger 2m for the right.. job done ;)

Killer plan! I'd hate to drill holes / make larger mods in a brand new car. 😁

I too would run a cable from the power socket in the boot. I do have a socket in the arm rest that you need to be a contortionist to reach, but it certainly isn't a USB and whatever it is, it is a very poor designer who put it so deep inside.

The one in the armrest is USB-C port so I believe.
