Hi
My car seems to be on 2 year or 18k miles service intervals. I'll do about 9-10k miles per year, so it would fit just about perfectly. What's the consensus tho guys - should I get an oil change and a check over at one year old, or let it go until it's two?

Get oil changed at 1 year old or not?

Personally I'd never go more than a year without changing the oil in a car. Even more so if it's the first one, and had the new engine bedding in.Alan321 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 2:40 pm Hi

Modern synthetic oils are good for 50,000 miles so you're wasting your money following 60s servicing routines. When did you last whip off the cylinder head for a quick de-coke?
Thanks guys,
I'll probably keep the car for 2-3 years, but might change my mind at any time lol.
My local Ford dealer quoted £105 for an oil change, £180 for 2nd year service, £280 for 4th year service.
What's with the pre-paid 12 month check or convenience check?
