That's where I pointed to, the problem with the recent topics is that if more than 5 posts were made they aren't visible. 'What's New' Shows all posts and highlights those you haven't yet read.

As usual I learn something new everyday :D. I know it’s sad but I browse this and many other sites several times a day and it rarely reaches 5 unread posts for me. I will use the What’s New button when it does. Great tip.
