Hey all! I found a video of a German company who's selling a mod to control the exhaust valves manually. Apparently the valve closes after around 1200 rpm. I wouldn't mind a bit more noise. You really notice the exhaust becoming quiet when you drive off.

I'm old enough now to have all the speed and noise behind me, been there done that! If that's what you like, have fun.

Go for the Mountune M235 if you want more noise.
The standard OEM valve opens in Sport or Track mode.
Shut in other settings.

That's not correct, right? I've had a Mountune tuned MK8 Fiesta ST and my Puma is running M235 as well, but the valve closes. I've never heard that the Mountune tune opens the valve. Only on full throttle it opens, but that's standard.

Yes agreed, but all I am saying in standard form, on engine start up the valve is closed or closes from part open and will immediately open if sport is then select at idle.

Yes, I know. It indeed opens when standing still.

How much difference can you tell running the M235 on the Puma.

How does this noise stuff pan out when a vehicle is due an MOT.

I don’t know, but I’m not from the UK. MOT here is different, they don’t check sound.

Obviously doesn’t with all the pops and bangs around these days.
