No need to be fuming Rizmo but I do understand your point. The situation that arose wasn’t as brazen as I’ve portrayed. They are a great dealer.
When you think about it though, many people have sat in our cars before we get them. Right from the factory moving and test tracking them, to loading on the freight trains. Then there’s moving around ports etc. Even the delivery driver gets to sit in everyone he drops off, then PDI and valeting. After all that, we get to see it. None of them are as untouched as we would like to think.

I agree with Rizmo on this one.

All of those people you mentioned are essential to the process (and one’s new owners accept) a potential customer is not.

That’s what demonstrators are for, but ultimately what you don’t know, doesn’t hurt. 🤷‍♂️

Hello all
The practice of potential customers sitting and looking over the car before you do is very high.
I know because I've done it.If the dealer thinks they will get a sale then they will do anything to get it.
I don't agree with it but unfortunately it happens 🤷‍♂️

My dealer was very good. He even asked me if I would give him permission to drive it prior to me picking it up to fill it up with fuel at the station a minute down the road or did I want the money to do it myself.

That’s proper customer service.

Just been back with the missus to see what she thought and yes the recaro is down the side of the seat.
Also it was a sold car which I wouldn’t be happy with someone else sitting in it but from what I understand it was a showroom car before so loads of people would have been in/ out of it, even though I was extremely careful not to catch anything when getting in / out and getting hold of the door handle.
Might try and find a local dealer with a used one to get a drive.
