What engine do you have 125 or 155? I can’t say for certain but the fiesta mk8 and puma ST airbox and engine placement for the mountune induction kit is exactly the same as the standard one. Iv just purchased one myself to try out. I’m fairly confident it fits straight in.

I’ll let you know how it goes

Hi.

I have a VUDU induction kit on my car. Barely noticeable in Eco mode, not too OTT in normal mode. Sports mode is a different matter, sounds great!

I got it here https://www.aetmotorsport.com/products/ ... n-kit-vudu (place is local to me).

Note the link is for a Fiesta ST MK8, but it's the same part as they list for the Puma, but £50 less.

I don't know whether it will fit an ST-Line 125/155 as never seen under the bonnet of one, but I can take a pic of mine if it would help anyone? to see if the airbox / pipe fittings match up.

Ta.

Stupid question maybe but I need to ask..... How does replacing an engine air intake make the engine (or is it the exhaust note?) sound better. I presume it doesn't increase bhp, but I tend to see these sold with, or as well as, a remap, which I presume does increase bhp?!?!

Simple really. The standard airbox is an enclosed. Clues in the name "Box". The induction kit mentioned here is open and hence you can hear the air (rush) induction.
That said if you take a look at the original mountune induction kit it allows along with a K&N type airfilter an additional but more subtle extra 'cold air' intake hose and hence only a slight increase in noise is the norm with this type of set up.
Induction kits alone (not mapped) do indeed give a slight increase on power, say 1-2% if your very lucky. Whilst definitely improving throttle response if set up correctly.
Is not all win win, the trouble with induction kits and especially the open type, is they are often positioned way to close to the engine and hence suck in hot air from the engine. Which unfortunately more often than not has the opposite effect, a reduction in power.
When vehicles are mapped, they usually require an improvment in airflow and hence the need for induction kits.
