Also to avoid wasted trips to the dealers I take photos and videos were appropriate of any faults. Then there can be no denial.

Would really hope that any fault bad enough to cause the yellow spanner to show would also record something in nvm!

Following my issue on 24th August, it went into the dealers. They noticed it had two updates pending, since then, touch wood, not had any issues. They were confident the software update would resolve it, also had two recalls fitted so it worked out in the end.

Ford have my Puma now. Called me and said they have updated software and all is good. Fingers crossed.

So guy explained to me that the car Wi-Fi may have picked up the message from them, Ford, to tell the car a software update is needed. Told me he switched his Wi-Fi off as soon as he picked up his puma for that reason, as he has the luxury of having his car updated as and when needed . So I have switched off my in car Wi-Fi.

Hi and Welcome.. Pop into the introductions section and tell us what model etc you have...Can we take it you had the spanner warning light as well?

Yep spanner warning light as per the subject line. Kicking in when accelerating hard. Loud clicking noise from engine too.
Seems to have been sorted now.
