Sync 3 update offered today

When you do the updates, I assume you have to remain in the car during it? Do you have the engine running so that it doesn't power down?

I either go for drive or leave it running. You can lock it with remote with engine running

I've given up with the USB update (tried 4, all correctly formatted, correct partition type, and files structured as per instructions), keep getting Lst_err5 (whatever that means)

If I plug it in again it instantly says update installed, but it isn't (and couldn't possibly load the files from the USB that quickly anyway)

Will leave it for the dealer to do in December unless it comes down by itself OTA in the meantime

Do you use a windows or a Mac computer ?
and the updatefiles have to be in a Syncmyride folder.
is there syncmyride infront off the filenames ?
if so you have to remove them.

I have the correct file structure, had to create the folder and move the gz’s in because I use a Mac

Also I tested the gz files weren’t corrupt by extracting them on the Mac to check they would open

Each attempt was also a fresh download

Can you make a screenshot of the file structure on yous USB drive ?

In case the native archive extractor is doing something to the files I’ve installed winzip, so will give it one more try later

Update has worked this time, not sure if it was using winzip to extract the download or plugging into usb-c (rather usb-a) in the car

Have uploaded my log file to Ford (nearly forgot that bit)

Next time there's an update I'll try winzip+usb-a to find out which is the fix

Mine is saying it's up to date, it's not, I'm on build 20136. Strangely, the map update, it told me I had the other day, is no longer there and it reports maps are current.
Shan't lose any sleep over either issue, experience tells that it will resolve it's self sooner or later....
