Could be a sensor, could also be that your clutches are not being sufficiently cooled. I'd consider getting your car looked at so at least there's a record should you have transmision problems going forward.

I am 99% sure it's not a clutch, not after 200 metres from stone cold on a freezing cold night and when it flashes on and off without me doing anything.

But yes, it is going to need investigation, else it will irritate the hell out of me.

See your point, but if you have a lot of slip in 1st it won't take long for a dry set up to overheat.

I agree, but would you expect it to be fine for five weeks, and then briefly re-appear on a cold gearbox? I would expect a consistent, repeating issue.

Anyroad, I'll let you know what it turns out to be, when I eventually get it examined.

Way back we were discussing this gearbox. If I remember rightly it's made by Magna, fitted to Renault's, Nissans etc. Might be worth a bit of research to see if there have been any problems. It's new to Ford.

Hello, my mom has same problem on her 12/2020 Puma 1.0 92kW automatic (without hybrid), acting same like it was -15°C outside, she started car and slowely moved through their street and after like 100m it popped up. She also sometimes get it when shes braking while comming to intersection.

What was solution that solved this for you? She was at dealer and they have seen it first time and havent found any solution and sent it to Ford for more diagnosis, but no reply from them.

Hi, no, the car has not been to the dealer since I bought it. The issue has not happened since Spring, and ironically only seemed to happen on cold mornings. If you and I both know of the issue, I am sure Ford will be aware of it by now.

And .... it's back again, now the temperature has dropped. Same thing, the warning appears just after you start off. I am sure it must be a sensor. I will have to get it looked at, I think.
