Sync software update !!!
All the downloads come from Ford's servers in US. The tech guy at my dealer was very chatty, he says the downloads are often very slow. Word is they don't like applying updates incase they cause more issues unless you specifically complain about an issue. Ford pass problems will get you the TCU update apparently.

I did the sync 3 update at the end of October and uploaded the log file. however as per a lot of people the website did not update. Tried again soon after with the same result.
The website had not updated by this week when my car was due in for its 3 month courtesy check. so asked the dealer to check the sync version and update the ford servers if possible. They said they had done this and the website should update soon.
The website then updated 3 days later and offered me the map update.
So downloaded the update to USB stick
However the DONTINDX.MSA file listed in the instructions was not part of the zip file and was not created on the USB stick.
I presume if I try the update it will fail because this file is missing?

Should work fine, there should be e two files in root folder

SyncMyRide and autoinstall.lst are the only two files I have on mine and it worked perfectly.

I think they might have been doing some work at https://www.ford.co.uk/dashboard#/ as mine is now showing that i am upto date with the maps as well, first time in 6 weeks !
