Sync software update !!!

Today is 3 weeks since I uploaded.
Ford CRC just phoned me and said they are looking in to it and it'll take 1-3 weeks (from now!!) and he'll call me next week to update. Something about the file having an error with a mismatch and someone there has to manually edit it to work.

I said I'm not alone and there could be a correlation to Mac users and that surely it's better to give you the option to re-upload the file or just fix the system so it doesn't do a file mismatch!

Anyway..... see what happens next.

I need to do my first long run, a 400 mile round trip, at the weekend...... carplay it is!

I had a similar situation last year. It took 5 months to resolve.

I'd be happy for them to just delete the current file, and allow me to download a new version as I can use a PC at work to format a USB and upload a new file.
Really stupid system they have for this.

They are calling me tomorrow. I'm expecting the same answers, however as my Sync 3.4 has been updated to the newest version I'm happy to wait for them to update the file. I'm not really bothered about maps as I don't use the Navigation as it's not very good.

I’m still trying to upload my F12 xml confirmation file to the Ford site but am still getting the spinning circle.

Having emailed Ford CRC last week explaining the problem and getting an unsatisfactory reply to book it into my dealer, I decided to phone them today and spoke to a nice lady who listened concerning the problem I was having and that there was no notification that there was a problem with the file as others are having.

She put me on hold while she spoke to the technical department and when she returned she said that they were aware of known problems with the site, especially uploading confirmation files, but unfortunately there isn’t a quick fix and that I should keep trying every week or so until they can fix it.

So I’ve decided that I’m not going to try and update my car again to get another xml file as the problem is clearly at Fords end.

This problem has been around since day one. After some time it will get sorted and then repeat and start again. My first Puma had F8 maps which started all my problems. This last sync and map updates have worked perfectly including the acceptance of both xml files which is a first for me.

Just checked one more time and now I have access to the map update.
At last!

Just checked mine again prior to tomorrows call from CRC and it's now giving the map updates....
I think I'll leave the maps to Wi-Fi as I don't need them....

My Maps are now showing , fair play they said it would take up to 3 weeks and its been 3 weeks and 1 day. Its only a flag they need to change within there database and reckon i could do it within 30 secs with access...
