Seems to be a problem with Ford's update servers, both OTA & Website
Car was saying there were no more updates to download, unlikely, so I ran the interrogator but the website still says I need maps update
So tried to download the update (so I had it should I happen to do a long trip soon) and it just sits there endlessly trying to package up the download (normally only takes 10 seconds or so)
Please Ford, sort this crap out
Sync software update !!!
Had a longish trip to do today, so, popped in newly formatted usb drive with newly downloaded 8Gig map update.....Instantly went to Error001. OTA updates state that the system is up to date.....

At least I'm not alone. Exactly the same issue with mine.
Ford have said they have an issue regarding the MEM_ERR001 and will elaborate more on the 29-06-21.

Been in contact with Ford UK today.
They have raised a "Case Number" regarding the additional map downloads that keep on appearing for my (and possibly many of yours) vehicle on Ford's online software update page.
Ford advised, that so long as my vehicles own Sync 3.4 system confirms F10 Maps are installed (it does) then to 'ignore' any suggestion that further map updates are required.
They have promised to correct their system if and as maybe necessary and to reply back to myself once Ford Sync Technical have had the opportunity to investigate.
Might be idea for everyone else to simply ignore the additional map updates if you believe you already have F10 installed!

Got told by Ford chat support that Safari isn't a supported browser for update/map downloads now, so told them to stick it
Map updates are pretty useless anyway. I bought F7 for my Focus and it was no different to F6 really. I guess roads do change but 22gb is a massive download. What has actually changed with it to justify such a huge file?

Well. I’ve just been out shopping with the wife and whilst she was in a shop I didn’t want to go into I had a look at my sync, etc. It seems I’m not only up to date with that but also my maps are showing as F10. Obviously done over the Wi-Fi whilst sat on the drive.
I’m not going to mess about with it any more now - just let it sort itself out whilst it’s sat doing nothing.

I've had 3 emails from Ford Technical so far with regard to the the latest round of MAP updates.
That's an additional 2 map updates since successfully installing F10 maps, neither of which from what I can tell have worked).
Their lastest email advised me that they working the problem and will provide a progress report next day or so....I live in hope.
