How old is the car and was it bought privately or from a trader/dealer?

Did it have any error messages or were you able to see any, for example did the emergency call error message appear or is the led by it at the rear view mirror very bright? I'd recharge the battery full, then check it.
The early mk2 models had a recall on this where the TCU or modem (in the dash by the glovebox) didn't work and in some cases it was always on and drained the battery.
If it could be that, and you can't find it on the screen under the modem version, it should be fixed for free as a recall error at the dealer. I had that errormessage and the original rombat battery. battery was ok but changed it anyway and the recall had TCU changed to new one and problem was solved. This at least for the early 20-23 models.

2 day's old? Get the dealer to sort it, they should have checked the condition of the battery during the PDI.

The service department blamed the valet for leaving the doors open and draining the battery and was going to book the car in for the 060125

Well if something obvious that was on for a longer time had drained the battery, shouldn't they just replace the flat one with a new fresh one that was charged and all would be fine then? Replacing it, resetting the battery sensor module and giving it a ride for the PCM to relearn settings shouldn't take long or be much different from a normal battery replacement on the Puma.

Not great dealership then! Poor show or what. Have you checked your service history yet?
Without question you should have evidence of the vehicles PDi. If so when was it done? If not why not.
Also in heavens name why on earth was it booked in for next year.

Hopefully you haven't accepted that booking.....You are in a strong position as you can reject the car if you are not happy with it....I'd be demanding a new battery, a ten minute job for them, it's not your problem if they need to fit it into the shop..
Name and shame the dealership.

Yep, totally agree, I wouldn't be waiting a month to get the issues looked at after purchasing a car 2 days before! It needs to be sorted now.

If the battery was completely dead, it is now scrap, it will have a very short life if it was allowed to completely drain.

Fact is nothing should have flattened it, apart from the battery already being defective from being allowed to flatten previously or a drain fault on the car. I suspect the battery was knackered when you got it
