I have a blackvue 900s front and rear cams, my front one is fitted just to the left of the rain sensor housing, and yes, you can just see it in the cameras field of vision, but it’s not obtrusive enough to matter, I still get a full view of the road ahead
St line x 1st edition, it has nearly everything

I finally gave up on the Ford Dashcam as I couldn’t find a dealer interested. I looked at the Garmin Mini but rejected that as no GPS. In the end I paid Halfords the £35 and installed my old Nextbase 522GW. It’s far to conspicuous and large in the windscreen but at least it is hardwired so hopefully Nextbase will produce a fully featured Mini with no screen in the future. I cannot fault the Halfords fit which was completed while I waited.

No, they used fuse 2 (see below). I have no idea what the numbers are on the plastic, but they don't match the fuse diagram.

I’m sorry, I didn’t see where the earth is connected. I did look but couldn’t see it. Routing around on the passenger floor for this old fella is not good 😌

Quick update regarding a nextbase fitting at halfords. They informed me they normally just use a 5amp fuse instead of the required 2amp. Have been told by nextbase that this is not safe and should not be used. 2amp ONLY.

On my Halfords install they used the fuse provided by Nextbase! I provided it with the micro 2 fuse tap which Nextbase sent to me free.
