Yes I know , as was in private contact with them. It’s great that other people are playing around with Forscan as we might be able to enable more functions 😊

From Ford this afternoon re Surround Sound. They are now admitting there is a problem at last.

"I am pleased to say I have had a response from the technical team.

They have advised the following:

Vehicles build after 14.01.2020 should have B&O surround sound – this vehicle was build before 14.01.2020 and there for does not have that feature however, the engineering department are looking into a configuration which might resolve the issue. The date for this is outstanding and not yet confirmed. "

They are testing the fix on Friday as they are sending someone from the Tech Team to have a look at JacktheLad87's car. Then they are planning mine next week as they have already booked mine in.

Very convenient, two days after mine was built.

Can you find out, as you seem to be having better communication than me, what the actual physical difference is between systems installed up to 13/01/20? And asking why inferior equipment was installed despite the specification being mention in last year’s press release.

The comment is not true is mine was built on 25.01.2020 and does not have Surround Sound. They will be trying the fix on mine next week

Mine is going in on Tuesday for a new battery. I'll ask if there's any news about the update at that visit.

rob out of curiosity, what are the factory values for you car on 7D0-01-01/02?

In my case (Built 12-12-19)
7D0-01-01 8A6A 019A 50B8
7D0-01-02 027C 0642 8222

I have tried comparing a lot of other values to the spreadsheets and other info available, but it seems to me Ford changed a few things for the Puma configuration compared to a lot of the information available out there. For example, a lot of the values I would've asumed were configured since my car has power mirrors and other extras seem to be set to 0 on my AsBuilt data. Perhaps as you say there is another bit that must be configured other than 7D0-01-02

7D0-01-02 027C 0642 8222 (this is the surround sound option)

So take it yours is the same as mine and no surround ?

I did a compare on a build with surround and a build without

Correct, no surround, after changing 7D0-01-02 to 027C 0442 8220 with Forscan I got the surround option and it have left it on ever since. Wondering if there's another piece of the puzzle or if I'm just happy with the way it sounds right not because I have no point of comparison to other B&O systems with surround?
