Aye Stevep999 it is!! - beginning to think that ford perhaps knowingly missed them out whilst being built due to shortages and this call system malfunction is because of this ??......

I dont think they missed them out. Modems tend to be multi band, where all wireless connectivity is provided by a single chipset. In the recently delivered cars the Wifi and bluetooth works, but the 4G doesn't, which is why Ford Pass and the SOS call system doesn't work.

Its likely the legal case in Germany has something to do with it, since that is about the 4G bands only.

Ah, thank you Chris47 - l understand more now!.
Aye, my WiFi works along with the bluetooth, wasn't aware of what was going down in Germany over the 4G?....

Interestingly my car that was built in may and delivered to the dealer on 1 July that I have now collected seems to work fine and is registered to the FordPass app with all functions working.

The one thing that is missing that my old puma had is the Wi-Fi hotspot.

Csjh100 - you had no problems with your emergency call system yet then?...

No none at all! I can lock and unlock the car via the app have not had any warnings. As I mentioned, the only anomaly seems to be that I cannot sign up for a Wi-Fi hotspot.

This fits with the report that the fix works but only on some cars, and has now been pulled.

When my car was booked for delivery I was told the recall had been done. It still doesn't work though, so maybe it has had it, but they didn't check if it was working. Either way I'm giving it a few weeks before bothering to go to a dealer to see what the situation is.

When I collected mine in June the dealer made a point of ensuring I had app downloaded and that it was connected to car as he said they get penalised if it's not done
