Had this error pop up yesterday. I've done hard reset of sync system to no avail. LOTS of posts in FB forums over last few days reporting same issue.

I have no modem ESN showing in sync anymore. I've lost the SOS button, ford pass access and traffic.

Anyone else had same ????

User AMS1969 has just reported the same on another thread. Possibly a network provider fault?

Every now and again it happens to me. I just ignore it and has made no difference, touch wood. :)

possible, LOTS of locations and lots of users. Wonder if Ford haven't paid someone ! ! ! !

I booked mine in for the service check that it asked for but was told it’s nothing to worry about and happens when the back up battery starts to drain down and will clear after a decent drive, it’s not going in till month end so will report back

according to dealer big failure on fords network causing all issues

Just noticed the Ford Pass app is working either as it’s not picked up that I have been out in the car today, Ford have probably been hacked!

Just to add -
My wife picked up a new Puma few weeks back.

All working fine, until Sunday around 6pm. Location was lost from Ford pass. I done the “IT” reboot and removed the Ford pass only to be unable to re-add.

I have since been getting the same message - emergency call malfunction.

I called Ford pass and the lady I spoke with confirmed I need to take this back to Fords so interesting read on this thread!!


It gets better - called my local service department today and they are unable to book me in as their systems have “gone down” - they will call me back when they are back up.

I do wonder if this is connected - however, I explained my issue and the chap I spoke with was going to find out if this is a quick fix but sounds like a wider issue.

On a final note - my Puma ST is working absolutely fine 🤦🏻‍♂️
