What do we think guys ? results of a poor spray job can’t think of any other reason never used chemical cleaner on then always wash by car shampoo and dry with microfibre cloth..!! Only seems to be affecting the driver side front and rear.. And yes they were cleaned yesterday so excuse the dust.

That's really very poor...being a ST Gold Edition the vehicle it will not have many miles. (Correct me if an wrong). How many miles and assume normal road use?
Flaking paint has to be as a result of poor surface preparation and or some form of paint contamination. Terrible quality control. Hope this isn't common to the rest of the 999 - Gold Editions?
A local repair will not resolve the damage and unfortunately they will simply continue to flake.
The alloys must be replaced with new and those/your wheels returned to Ford for assessment.
Accept nothing less.

Me neither, other than the diamond cut alloy's on the RS2000 Mk5. Here corrosion managed to get under the clear lacquer, but hey that didn't show up until after many thousands of miles.
At just 1300 miles wow that simply isn't acceptable.

Yes as soon as I get any information as to what’s happening I’ll post it up.

Looks like they just sprayed the gold over the original silver without any prep.
The paint quality with the Puma is pretty bad in general. I’ve had mine back four times for blobs, and paint runs on the rear door, flaking inside the skirts and even what looked like grit under the surface on the back wing.
First time have had any of these issues with a Ford.

Yep was thinking just that, it does looks as if they've simply sprayed over grey OEM's.Stoopo wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 5:50 pm Looks like they just sprayed the gold over the original silver without any prep.
