Sorry, you have lost me. Where does it say that? I can't find it on their website.

My Puma STLine 155 arrived on 18/2/22 (ordered 21/9/21) - it was fitted with Goodyear Efficient grip 17”tyres. The tread depth was just below the 8mm mark after 50miles. Hope that info is of use. So far so good with the car - great to drive but not sure I will use all the technology available but who knows might even try the assisted parking!!

Seen it now. It says an average of 8-9 mm which is NOT helpful or clear. Is it an average of the whole car tyre industry OR is it an average over their own products? What IS clear is that figure is an average number - I am sure that they sell tyres of that depth (winter ones must have loads of tread) but what seems to be happening is that Ecocontacts will not have 8mm due to different compounds and being more fuel efficient and perhaps thats why it needs a different tread depth.

We are only guessing at the moment....Best to await something official from Continental to get some definitive answers.
I was hoping members would give me the requested information on tyre identification I asked for.
I'll plod on alone and see if it goes anywhere. :(

Sparks wrote: Mon Feb 28, 2022 1:56 pm OK, So, I got a reply from an Engineer at Continental requesting full tyre description..(dot code, tyre pattern, tyre size, load and speed index,).
Can a couple of you give this information so that we know we all have the exact same tyre....Thanks.
Noted the review posted and as stated by others there still seems to be a discrepancy in tread depth.
Mine are Conti EcoContact 6 215/50/R18 V XL. Dot code is Red. No DoM that I can see. I did a more accurate measurement of mine and the tread is 5.5mm and not the 5.0 I originally stated.

Thank you. Eco Contact 6 or Eco Contact 6Q Apparently there is a difference....

Picked up our Puma ST Line X today. Checked the tyres when I got home, and all 4 tyres are Continental Eco Contact 6, and are between 5.62mm and 5.98mm. Hope this helps.
