Could anyone please explain how the electric interior mirror is supposed to work? When a car comes up behind me with bright lights on the interior mirror does nothing. Thought it should dip. Any answers please.

Do you mean you are blinded by the car behind? The mirror doesn't physically do anything, it's magic.... ;) :D

There’s a little snip-it of information in the owners manual under Auto Dimming Interior Mirror which may help you.

Available online via Ford, PumaForums or if your lucky a paperback copy.

Hi, to maybe give you a useful answer... the mirror "should" dim automatically, there is no on/off switch for the function that I am aware of. The manual does suggest that a raised central rear headrest, or a rear centre positioned passenger might block the light to the sensor in the mirror and so stop the dimming function, so might be worth you've not got anything blocking the sensor??!!
The sensor is located behind the mirror glass, not easy to see under normal lighting, and is top centre of the mirror... just make sure you haven't got a sticker or gooey fingerprint on that part of the mirror ;)

I don’t think the mirror physically moves, isn’t it the case of the glass dimming. I know mine does.
