Car going into dealers Monday for a failed nearside rear disc brake.
Since new, in March (January Build Date), I've had creaking noises when lifting off the brake when coming to a rest, thought it was just a bit of dust and new discs. 2000 miles later I noticed that the rear nearside disc was very rusty with a few bright thin score marks. All the other discs are nice and shiny. Clearly, for some reason, the brake is not working. Guess I'll find out Monday.
Anyone else had similar issues?

I'm beginning to realise Ford consistently fail to meet their own exceptionally low standards...
I would challenge their interpretation of within tolerance If I were you. It's ridiculous.
They'd better not try and tell me there is no fault on Monday.

That is rubbish , Never seen cracks like that before on discs in all my years messing professionally and doing my own stuff , good spot , I wonder if there is a recall about to come out.

You'll also see the rust on the nearside disc. Photo taken immediately after a 20 mile run with 4 passengers. Clearly the caliper isn't working. Wouldn't fancy my chances of braking in a straight line in the wet!

Wow, that's shocking, they need to replace the disc and pads and probably the caliper if the piston's seized, don't let them fob you off with anything less.
