Big Cat Spotted in Dales

So, I cleaned the car yesterday and got it all shiny again ready to finally take a few pics and then spent literally the whole day tootling around the Yorkshire Dales today. Needless to say that by the time I took the pictures, the car looks like it’s done a rally and I’ve found out all about what others have been saying about ingress at the bottom of the doors. :D

I still have some niggles, a loud clunk selecting lower gears, but most noticeable is reverse. An occasional whine from the power steering, and I’m still struggling for confidence in the brakes. The last I don’t think is an issue, just me getting used to a heavier car and a different brand of pads probably.

That all said, I absolutely adore my ST. It’s had a good, run-in conscious stretch of its legs today and I think it is safe now to regard it as “used”.

Very nice! Although mine is only the Titanium, I found the same on a couple of points, the brakes when breaking from 70 feel a bit soft and not as good as those on the fiesta, I also seem to have picked up a large part of the Norfolk sand on the bottom of the inside of the rear door, great fun to drive around the A roads though even in my trim, I wouldn’t swap back to the fiesta

Looks great that !

Agree on the brakes, "not great" once they get hot. I'm going do some research into better discs but not sure anyone actually does them yet as think they are diff diameter to Fiesta ST.

Total faith in mine, they saved me from a big collision at about 75mph on the motorway. A car, two in front of me, hit the central reservation, bounced off into the centre lane and spun. Car in front of me had swerved into the centre lane and so hit the spinning car. I'd slammed on my brakes and amongst lots of dust and squealing (Mainly from me, I think.. ) the Puma stopped in a straight line and we missed everything.
An extreme test agreed, but, haven't had any problems with the brakes and they feel solid enough to me.
