Quite a few ST’s had steering rack issues. Some were replaced and some just had loose bolts replaced. Does it do it on full lock?
Not sure about the rust but I think it’s probably about normal.

Re: Clunking noise when car is off
I think you may have wasted your money with the battery. They all clunk and click for up to 30 minutes after the engine has stopped. The various systems take time to shut down. Someone else on here suggested recently that one of the clunks was the sound system discharging it's capacitors. The sound...

Re: Saving power warning
I thought when it goes in deep sleep mode you just need to unlock it with the remote to wake it up again Must have been a battery issue rather than deep sleep My car certainly unlocked with the remote after I’d been away for four weeks, twice. The car went into deep sleep around day 14. Sounds like...

Re: Saving power warning
I've had the dreaded warning popping up for as long as I can remember. The car never failed to start for me though until Monday last week when I came out to find it completely dead. The AA came out, got it started and checked it over. They found a 1-1.4 amp battery drain with the ignition off and t...

Re: Battery problem update
Found this on the Canadian Ford site. The way it’s worded suggests Wi-Fi updates might take days depending on the connection. No mention of needing the engine running.1E5084D8-3798-4187-BC26-195687558D97.png The issue that many of us have is that we can connect to the Ford servers using the cars Wi...

Re: Looking at getting a new set of tyres
My fronts are going to need replacing soon but I’m struggling to find the same tyres. They are Continental Eco Contact 6Q 215/50 18 V Everything I’m seeing is either W rated or with the V rated ones the are XL too. Obviously I don’t want to mix V & W and XL and none XL. Anyone had this issue? D...

Re: Saving power warning
It’s pretty standard in winter months if you do short journeys or don’t use the car for a few days. My Focus never showed the warning but would switch off the radio and screen after about 15 minutes. Standard stuff. When you should start to worry, like I did, is when the car continually goes into de...
