I was told when I ordered this car that they wouldn't take a deposit upfront in the current circumstances as there was just so much uncertainty when I would actually receive the car.

Latest update I've got this morning, Build 7th Jan - Expected with dealer 12th Feb. (September order St Line X)

Thanks all for your replies, I have to admit I do feel quite sorry for the dealerships in this situation. I cant help but feel that Ford UK have left them out on a limb to either make up their own narrative or not say anything at all... rather than being a bit more transparent and risk future orders...
