Re: Navigation
I plug my phone in and use google maps for longer trips though not for short trips around town. The live traffic is quite excellent and it understands voice commands very well unlike toe Ford system which does neither (unless you subscribe). The Ford system hardly recognises any voice commands for ...

Fuse Box Cover
The fuse box cover in the passenger footwell seems very flimsy as are the two clips that hold it on. Mine keeps falling off and whilst I keep putting it back, the clips are very loose and I can see no way to tighten them. They are just press on fittings that don't seem to hold at all. Does anyone el...

Re: selling a car
I've heard of a few people who have got a quote from motorway and their Ford dealer has agreed to match their price against a new vehicle. That said, it may affect the level of discount you are able to negotiate on your new car though.

Re: MHEV fuel economy
My 125 ST Line X gives me around 53/54 mpg on average. On long runs, keeping below 60 mph I've managed to squeeze 64/65 mpg. A lot of stop starting around town can bring it down to around 45/46 mpg As others have said, a lot depends on your driving style and how heavy your right foot is. Making ecob...

Re: Brake feel
250 miles is probably not enough to get used to the feel of a new car. Clutch, brakes, steering, etc. all feel a lot different to your previous motor and will take a little more time to get used to. If it still doesn't feel right to you after 1000 miles or so, take it back to the dealer and ask a me...

Re: Ongoing false pre-collision assist flashing
I think this setting has a high medium and low option in the main menu. You could try turning it down. On high, it does happen to me occasionally, but that's the price I pay for the extra safety it affords.

Re: The E5 vs E10 debate.
I can't be precise, but I'm noticing that since using E10, I've had to drive even more carefully to maximise my MPG to the point that it is getting boring and I'm still 2 or 3 MPG below what I was getting on E5. The question is, should I go back to E5 and is it worth the extra cost for a couple of M...

Re: End of cheap Fords.
If Ford try to rebrand as premium, they will need to 8mprove their build quality and truly produce premium vehicles, something they have always been in capable off to date, so it will be interesting to see. I agree that the Chinese look like they are going to take over the mass market by producing t...
