Don’t forget to inform your insurance if you are running around for a period on the car’s original registration if you’ve put your private plate on retention

Re: Auto lights

I think the switch is to allow you to be able to operate the lights in poor weather where the auto lights wouldn’t come on, fog for example, I wouldn’t want to disable the auto lights as I think it’s a cool safety feature, how many cars do you see without lights on dark winter evenings?, auto lights...

Re: Autonomous Software Upgrade?

I’m old enough to remember when it was thought that computers would give us so much more leisure time, our jobs would be done autonomously but it didn’t say how those people would earn a living when the computer was doing their job, I suspect with these smart motorways and self driving cars, somebod...

Re: Flashing speed sign on dash

The speed limit sign is a bit hit and miss I used to have the system linked to the limiter but have found that it’s a bit concerning if it won’t let you accelerate if it thinks you are still in a reduced limit when you’re not. Also a bit worrying when it sees a 20 sign at a side road and slows you ...

Re: Puma 1.5 Ecoboost ST 200ps

I’ve had … a new rear door module, as the keyless entry wouldn’t open that door, a new dash fitted, to cure a dash rattle, ( airbag bracket loose) and finally, a new engine, to cure a noise that they couldn’t get parts for so that was the simplest and cheapest way to go, all fixed under warranty…now...
