Re: My first really long drive
The small tank doesn't help either tbh.. seem to be constantly filling up. What rpm is the manual version doing in 6th @ 70mph? And is the same gearbox in both 125 & 155 models? In the auto, at 70 the engine is doing around 2200rpm in 7th gear. 155PS manual does about 2600rpm at 70mph in 6th. O...

Re: Battery problem update
I know this is going to sound bonkers but I found my fix to the issue is actually to put more strain on the electronics while driving, when the blowers are off my charge state sits around 12.3v with the car running, which trickle charges the battery, when I turn the radio up or the air con on, it'l...

Re: Battery problem update
Traded mine in for new automatic Honda hybrid with no outlay. Too many gadgets on Puma first edition pack, putting into garage with bulging front wings (trying to look like a Porsche) triggering lights and noise, on country hills lacked power ☹️ and the bloody battery messages all the time. Honda f...

Re: The Solar Silver Thread - Pics & Car Names Only!
These pics make me feel like a have made the correct colour choice. Get my st-line x in solar silver on Monday..I did look at all the colours at the dealership and thought it looked a lot nicer than the grey matter I had as a demo car. Black didnt suit it as much, could not believe the red was the ...

Interesting to hear about the Toyota, I had thought that superficial rusting of brake discs was common to all makes .

Re: Brake disc scoring
My front offside disc developed a couple of score rings shortly after I took delivery of the car; a month later the marks are barely visible. The rear brakes are occasionally noisy, which I think is due to them only getting lightly used. Occasional firm braking seems to quieten them down for a while...

Re: Lumpy Acceleration
Yes, I've occasionally had hesitation under hard acceleration. It's only done it about three times so far, so I am taking a wait-and-see attitude at the moment. Are you still having this problem? My apologies if you've covered this elsewhere - I'm new to the site but I've had a look around before po...
