Re: Battery problem update
Great that you finally got it fixed. Nothing worse than a bad, incompetent garage....Good that the main dealer sorted it... :) That's the issue, both are main dealers, and one of them (With Ford UK) failed to fully fix the car or replace a clearly shafted battery. 30 months of faults need compensat...

Re: Battery problem update
And finally, we have a fully working Puma ST Performance - after 30 (Thirty) months! Very short story... New in March '21 Reported Battery warnings and Deep Sleep warnings in weeks - asked to monitor. Finally, it goes in for investigations and they completely miss the faulting TCU. They swap the Rom...

Re: Battery problem update
I put a multimetre on my battery (Rombat) whilst engine running & reading was over 15V, turned engine off & got reading 12.9V. Are these normal readings? A mechanic (who doesn’t know anything about the hybrid system) thinks it might be overcharging the battery. 14.4-14.8v for these newer ba...

Re: Battery problem update
Get a battery expert to give you a written report. Your battery may be beyond recovery. This is the plan, but it's finding one local. Also, Ford UK have finally realised what I have been telling them, that the battery is now showing signs it's been damaged by the drain. I want them to replace it, b...

Re: Battery problem update
Update. The TCU replacement appears to have resolved the wife's issues. The battery is certainly damaged though as showing abnormally low readings after its fully blown drain-down. FORD UK though, are not wanting to resolve this in the correct way as yet. They are not explaining why the dealership t...

Re: Battery problem update
UPDATE. I had to lay down the law in effect to Ford about this - and they "seem" to have listened. The car has had extensive testing and dozens of hours connected remotely to Ford UK. The battery was fully charged and the testing resulted in the TCU being replaced. Since then, ALL function...

Re: Battery problem update
Now, I'm annoyed. The Deep sleep messages reappeared and today, the battery is flat. Cannot get in the car with central locking - had to use the emergency key. Battery now on charge, but the dealership have been told they are getting it today and we don't want it back before it's fully fixed (The V...

Re: Battery problem update
Finally - Ford have had the car in after 5-6 months. They charged the battery and told me it should now be sorted. I asked them whey they were ignoring the fact I had already charged the battery at least 3 times and it brings up the warning in 4-5 days. "We wasn't away of that!?" we the re...
