Tyre Rotation
I was thinking about rotating my wheels to even out tyre aware. Then I thought, would the gauge in the car recognise the front wheels as being the back wheels? So perhaps pressing the reset button might work, but would it? Whilst each wheel has a tyre pressure sensor, how does the car recongise whic...

Re: Insurance companies
Seems that a little phone call still makes a difference as managed to get in down to £340 , i know its increased from last year but some of the quotes i was getting from places like AA , Saga etc it was half ! There is an optimum time to renew your car insurance. I think it's 27 days before renewal...

Re: Insurance companies
Fully comp with Swinton cost me £170 last year. Best quote I have for this year is £220 on Gocompare but Churchill are offering a better policy (includes windscreen) for £230 so I will probably go for that. I will also need to add breakdown cover as my ST Line X does not require a service this year ...

Re: Latest mpg figures
11,500 miles since new and my average is over 54 mpg. Average on current tank is over 57 mpg.
Best I have got is 63 and 64 mpg on two 200 mile trips to Cornwall, keeping below 60 mph just to see what was possible.

Re: Utter sadness.....
Luckily looks like a job that chips away would be able to fix without needing to claim on insurance or go to a full blown body shop.

Re: Rattle / metallic vibration from b-pillar area
I get this sometimes and it is usually because the passenger did not retract and stow the seatbelt very well. To test it, just buckle up the seatbelt and see if you can hear the noise. It's not a grreat designfeature having the seatbelt buckle hang so close to the B pillar.

Re: Key Battery low
Cheap batteries are an issue in key fobs. Stick to Energiser or Duracell. Also wipe both the battery and battery connections with an alcohol wipe or some pure alcohol before putting back together as even a bit of grease on the battery or terminal can cause issues.

Re: Juddering in 1st gear
A lot of cars are not as smooth when cold as they are when they warm up. Even my Puma suffers this very slightly. However any Motobility car may have been driven by someone a little older who may no longer be able to feel his or her feet as well as they once did leading to perhaps a little misuse of...
