Just to add sometimes my plug in meter read 12.1v or lower whilst driving rather than something in the 14. V range - could it be a charging system fault as well as duff battery or could the battery be rejecting charging being applied?

Daft question - is there a way to get the ETM battery display to show when the engine is not running? Mine is reading 14.2-14.6 v which matches my plug in meter when running, but want to see the car’s display of it without engine running - just disappears.
