Re: Battery problem update

Just to add sometimes my plug in meter read 12.1v or lower whilst driving rather than something in the 14. V range - could it be a charging system fault as well as duff battery or could the battery be rejecting charging being applied?

Re: Battery problem update

Daft question - is there a way to get the ETM battery display to show when the engine is not running? Mine is reading 14.2-14.6 v which matches my plug in meter when running, but want to see the car’s display of it without engine running - just disappears. Had mine back for 1 ½ weeks after 3rd visit...

Re: Sshh. Deep Sleep.

So mine is in for the third time with the battery issue. 2nd time they ran a conditioning run on it, said it was fine then within 2 days it was back to 12.1v This time they did the same they made me go back (2hr round trip) and got me to disconnect my Nextbase camera connection to the fuse box and e...

Re: Sshh. Deep Sleep.

Is the chassis negative just behind to the right of the battery? Sorry bit useless with car mechanics! Also - earlier on there is a mention of diagnostic mode for the car by hold ok on wheel , pressing engine start and keep hold of ok.. mine just loops around messages that full accessory power and s...

Re: Sshh. Deep Sleep.

The Noco5 thinks the battery is charged - it’s now in its maintain mode but still getting 12.1v (I’m using a cigarette lighter unit which I’ve double checked on my parents car - reads 12.6 on theirs). Am I right thinking that the battery is probably just knackered and won’t take more charge up to 12...

Re: Sshh. Deep Sleep.

I’ve ordered a Noco Genius 5 to try and help charge my battery (12.1 v all the time at rest). There is a repair mode but it warns about it’s designed mainly for lead acid not really for the type Pumas have. When people are mentioning conditioning batteries do you mean just leaving on charge for a wh...

Re: Sshh. Deep Sleep.

I spoke to the dealer - built end Feb 2020. Registered Sept 2020. I got a big chunk off the price I was due to pay at the time. Garage conceding there's a chance it might have not be kept topped up (wasn't their branch) but the tests last week were showing it was okay - but he was surprised it's at ...

Re: Sshh. Deep Sleep.

I just checked the voltage and is 12.2v after sitting for 12 hrs so think the Rom battery is knackered. I think my Puma had been sitting at another dealer for a while as the people who ordered it then couldn't afford to complete the purchase due to furlough, so wonder if they've screwed it partly du...
