Re: st mud flaps

The mudflaps keep some of the worst of the road spray off the sides and rear of the car. Still need water and a detailing brush to clean the rear door seals and frame though. Put them on mine to try and cut down on any sill stone chips rather than road dirt.

Re: What MPG are you getting?

M260 upgrade requires intercooler and pipe work upgrade and 97+ RON. 235 perfectly OK with 95 RON but is optimum performance with 97 +. Living in Shetland, only 95 RON available and I will not use additives.

Re: st mud flaps

They use origional holes for the arch lininers - remove the old push fasteners and fit new longer ones through flaps into holes. There are also some metal clips which push onto the flaps sandwiching them onto the outer wheel arches. I think there was 1 hole needing to be drilled under the rear bump...

Yep - with paint so thin and water based anything helps to stop the chips :)
Any drilling or filing involved? Nothing worse than having to take a drill to a Ford panel !!!!!

Re: Alarm triggered by tailgate opening

Had this problem with my RS, turned out to be the tailgate strut putting pressure on the tailgate lock. May be worth a check.

Re: Scratches and dents on rear arches

It does look like seatbelt buckle damage, strange place for damage from anything else.
